...and as our show travelled to the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, a more characterised and spacious venue, the work changed with its adaption to its new environment. What I enjoyed so much about installing this peice of work was that it was a reaction to the features in the space creating as much dialogue between the two as there was between the individual peices. I found the London leg of the show, with the added features in this particular space, made the work alot more interesting. Not only were the objects activated in their roles but these features in the room were given their own roles, an activated function of the space itself. The use of the window ledge became very important, a resting place for the polystyrene blocks as if put to one side before their purpose came around. The C-shaped conveyor placed away from the other objects brings the veiwer out into the space, its shape fits around the concrete pillar leading the veiwer around it and towards the rest of the room and the rest of the work on display.
